Bonnieux is one of the most impressive historic hill villages in the Provence. Dating back to Roman times, it rests on top of the Luberon hills casting a watchful gaze across the rest of the valley.
The view from the village is wonderful, out across the valley floor with its patchwork of orchards and vineyards, towards the equally picturesque perched village of Lacoste across the Vaucluse plateau. Bonnieux hosts plenty of authentic restaurants, cafes and Friday markets.
